When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Pickle.

Over the weekend, I surveyed and found 183747 kilos of fresh lemon and green chillies in the fridge. I could not think of a regular recipe requiring so much of both. So, this is what I did. Made the most amazing lime and green chilly pickle. Let the pictures speak. :) Gimme a shout should you want the recipe.

See what I mean? Too many of 'em!

Love the colours!

Assembling in to a jar.

Salt and suggah!

A final dash of lemon and....

We are done. Out in the harsh sun just for four days and this is good to eat!

What have you guys been up tp then? Am linking this to Patricia's The Weekly Story ~ wk 52

I came to your blog from Patty's post on your home tour. Lovely reading up about you and your daily life. Sounds so similar to mine...stay at home mom, from north india, loves to go to Ikea, DFM and all that.

And wow, this looks amazing! Do post pics of what it looks like when it's ready to eat. Would love to try it out.

@Patricia: He he he at your comment. This pickle is so so so easy that even your daughters can make it anytime, just as long as you supervise the chopping bit. Just chop-chop add a total of 2 spices, no cooking required, salt and sugar and we are done. All the cooking shall be done by the sun outside. But thanks anyway, for the generous praise!
